It is believed that Manchester United are on red alert after Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier admitted he was frustrated at the club.
The Belgium international has lost his place in Unai Emery’s starting XI this season following the arrival of Dani Alves to the French capital.
Thomas Meunier has been linked with the Old Trafford move in the past and he admitted in September that he has always supported Manchester United.
The reports claim that Unai Emery won’t stand in Meunier’s way if he wants to leave the club and the 26-year-old star has admitted he’s unhappy with his lack of playing time.
Meunier told the reporters: ‘Yes [I am frustrated] because I want to play every match, whether it’s against Gueugnon, Niort or Bayern Munich. I want to be on the pitch every time. I am in a team which is one of the top five in the world where the back-ups and the starters are about the same level.’
Antonio Valencia is one of Jose Mourinho’s most trusted players but the right-back has been increasingly managed so far this term.
The Ecuador international made 43 appearances last term but he’s been rotated in cup competitions so far this term and Mourinho would ideally like to sign a long-term replacement next summer.
