Alvaro Morata suggests he would sign 10-year deal at Chelsea after negative London comments

Alvaro Morata speaks out after London comments send Chelsea fans into meltdown
Chelsea star Alvaro Morata has attempted to clear up the comments he made regarding his future and life in London.

While the forward has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge, scoring seven goals in his opening 11 appearances for the Blues, he appeared to reveal he would prefer to live abroad in an Italian interview earlier this week.

Morata spoke of the ‘disappointment’ of leaving Juventus last year but on Monday, ahead of the side’s clash with Roma, the striker admitted he would ‘probably’ sign a ten-year contract if it was on the table at Chelsea.

Asked about his comments on London, Morata told the media: ‘We have a problem with that interview, all I said was that I was happy at Juventus.
‘I want to say in the future when I finish my career I move from London, but I am happy in London with my wife.

‘I really like London now, but when I finish my career and I have a child I might want to move back to my country, this is normal. It is stressful only because of the traffic, but it is a wonderful city.
The Spaniard suggested he would sign a ten-year deal at Stamford Bridge given the opportunity.

Asked if he hopes to be at the club for five years, he replied: ‘I want to say again, we have a problem of understanding the interview, if Chelsea offered me ten years I would probably sign it.

‘If I can make good and improve I can maybe stay here longer than five years.’
Morata stressed that he has a good relationship with Antonio Conte and claimed that his manager is among the greatest tacticians in world football.

‘It is very good, I am talking a lot with Antonio, he loves to work hard and me too,’ he said.
