- An elderly woman caught stealing in the house of God has been exposed - The CCTV camera showed the old woman stealing mobile phones and car keys in the church An elderly woman caught stealing mobile phones and car keys in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 17 at New Oko Oba has been exposed through the help of a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera. The woman was said to have been stealing the phones and car keys of some members of the church when she was seen. Undisclosed sources said it was not the woman’s first time as she walks into the church every time to steal without getting caught. Ashamed of her actions, the old woman was said to have denied the whole thing. She was seen covering her face in one of the screenshots made from the video. She claimed the bag she was caught stealing from belonged to her.
Upon being probed, she confessed to the crime. The way she was paraded however left some people biased judging with the comment under the uploaded video. The writer showed displeasure at the woman being treated that way since she was caught stealing in the house of God.
In the person’s view, she should not have been paraded that way; instead, the woman should have been called to Jesus as the person believes no one knows the purpose of God for her life. This opinion was further substantiated with the fact that some pastors are also criminals.
